MUMS Concerto Auditions 2022/23

Concerto Auditions!

We are excited to announce that applications are now open to perform a concerto (or other piece for soloist and ensemble) next academic year with one of our ensembles: Symphony orchestra, MUWO, MUSO or Brass Band. Any MUMS member is welcome to apply, however if you are in your final year of study, you must be sure that you will be based in Manchester next year, as this is when the concert will happen.

The first round of auditions will take place via a video recording. If you are interested in applying, you should submit a short CV detailing any relevant experience, together with a video recording of no longer than 10 minutes in length. Ideally this would be an accompanied movement of a concerto and have been recorded within the last 6 months. The video must be an unlisted YouTube link sent with the other relevant information to personnelmums@gmail.com by the end of Friday 25th March.

Your audition will be watched by this year’s MUMS Personnel Managers (myself and Ben Attfield), as well as Rob Guy. There will then be a second round of auditions which will take place in person around the end of April, after the Easter holidays; more information about this will be released nearer the time.
