Symphony is open to every MUMS member via sign-up on a Google form. Make sure to put your student emails so that we can verify your student status. No need to sign up again if you already signed up for last weeks rehearsal.

Repertoire: Mvt 9 & 10 from Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition. We'll prioritise Mvt 10, The Bogatyr Gates, and end with Mvt 9, The Hut on Hen's Legs if there's time.

Time: 7-8:15pm with Rob Guy and student conductors taking sectionals.

This week we have a guest speaker!
Nihal Arthanayake is an acclaimed broadcaster and TV presenter. He currently presents a daily daytime show on BBC 5 Live, and his unique interviewing style was recently recognised at the BBC Radio and Music Awards where he won Interview of the Year. Nihal has been a trustee of the Southbank Centre and the British Council and is currently a Trustee of Home in Manchester and an Ambassador for Prince Charles’ British Asian Trust.
Nihal can also be heard on the official Penguin Books podcast, interviewing some of the top authors in the UK today, including the likes of Sir Paul McCartney, Romesh Raganathan, Suggs, John Boyne and more.
