MUMS Orchestral and Chamber Ensemble Auditions (DEADLINE 11th October) The 2021 MUMS orchestral/chamber ensemble auditions will NOT be a live audition on campus. Due to the ongoing COVID-19, we have chosen to hold our auditions online.

Peer Mentors Verity and Morven present a series of activities every week on Wednesdays at 3pm. Join in to make friends, relax, get fit, and have a good time!

Wellbeing Wednesday is in partnership with the Music department Peer Mentor scheme and is open to everyone and anyone with or without a MUMS membership, and also any students of the University of Manchester.

Afternoon Tea & Coping With Exam/Deadline Stress!

The last Wednesday of the month comes again with more meditation. We will be focussing on the new year and what it will bring for us all.

This weeks Wellbeing Wednesday will start at 2:45pm due to meeting clashes.

Howard studied at RCM before coming a freelance baritone and now works as the Chorus Manager at Opera North. It will be a very insightful talk for people who are looking to go into the industry. If you have any specific questions to ask Howard do get in touch with Thomas Clough, MUMS Opera Manager. Tom will try to cover as many topics as possible during the question time. Virtual Symphony Rehearsal: EVERY MONDAY

Virtual Symphony Rehearsal: EVERY MONDAY Symphony is open to every MUMS member via sign-up on a Google form. Make sure to put your student emails so that we can verify your student status. No need to sign up again if you already signed up for last weeks rehearsal.

Symphony Orchestra rehearsals begin every week from Monday 1st February.

The brass band are holding a composition competition, open to all mums members, deadline for submissions is the 1st of December.

Next Wednesday, Cameron Biles-Liddell will be hosting a live Q&A with the composer Angela Slater. This is a new event by New Sounds of Manchester and will be a chance for composers and performers to get to know more about her music, as well as ask any questions about being a freelance composer. Do Come along!
